What Is A “Dirty Pour” Technique?

The dirty-pour technique describes a way of blending colors in a layered effect on the die. Using a solid color base, you put 1-3 different colors of drops onto the resin mixture, before it goes into the mold, and then pour it without mixing it in. This creates the different colors of the drops having a layered effect inside the die as it is poured into the mold. This technique is generally considered un-replicable to an exact match because it relies on chance of how the color lays down in the mold when pouring, though you can get it within a relative theme or close with the same color combos.

This is the D20 from the set “Fantasy Vision”.
